Stonecliffe College Online, an academic division of Colorado Technical University, will offer an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice (ASCJ). Enrollments for the ASCJ degree program will begin immediately; courses will begin in January 2007.
Associate of Science in Criminal Justice
The fast-paced expansion of all areas of the criminal justice system is creating a demand for skilled workers as never before in local, state and federal systems. Today’s criminal justice system workforce must be knowledgeable and skilled in every component of the system to address the public’s demand for protection and services.
The Associate of Science in Criminal Justice program is designed to prepare students to enter the criminal justice profession in a variety of first-tier positions. Students will be exposed to the foundational areas of the discipline: investigation and law enforcement, law and courts, and corrections and parole. The program also addresses juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice system.
The ASCJ satisfies the requirements for the first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. A degree in criminal justice is also one of the best foundations available for law school.
